Day of Coordination Cost in Augusta: What You Pay and Why It Varies
Our day of coordination cost starts at $800. From there it goes up depending on what your wedding needs and how many staff we bring. That is the whole pricing story in two sentences, and the rest of this post explains what moves the number, what the price covers, and how to read any coordinator's quote so you know what you are buying.

What does day of coordination cost with Augusta Day of Coordination?
The starting price is $800. One flat number does not fit every wedding, because a 40 guest ceremony and reception in a single room is a very different day from a 150 guest wedding with the ceremony in one place and the reception in another. So we talk through your plans first and work out what your wedding needs. The quote comes out of that conversation.
What makes the day of coordination cost go up?
Two things set the number: what your wedding needs, and how many of us it takes to cover it. These are the details we look at when we size up a wedding:
Guest count, since more people means more to seat, direct and keep on schedule
Whether the ceremony and reception happen in one place or two
How many vendors need confirming and need to know where to go
How much of the setup is DIY and has to be tracked and moved by someone
A venue with no staff of its own, such as a backyard or a field, where nobody else can take a question
How many coordinators the wedding calls for on the day
Those are the reasons one wedding needs more hands than another. Tell us about yours and we will tell you what it needs.
What is the price actually buying?
For your money you get a wedding day timeline, confirmation and follow up with your vendors, a plan so that everyone knows where to be and when, the rehearsal lineup and the ceremony cues, and a team that runs the wedding day. On the day we are the point of contact for your vendors, we handle the problems that come up, and we carry and move things. Our work with you begins two to four weeks before the wedding, so the day of coordination cost covers that whole stretch and not just the Saturday.
It does not cover the planning decisions. We do not choose your venue, design your decor or book your vendors for you. If you want something that is not on this list, such as help with setup, ask us what your wedding needs and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
How do you compare coordinator quotes?
A lower number is only a better deal if it buys the same job. Whoever you talk to, ask these:
When does your work with us begin, and what happens before the wedding day?
How many coordinators will be at my wedding, and what happens if one of them is sick?
Will you contact my vendors directly, or do I?
Do you run the rehearsal lineup and give the ceremony cues?
What is not included, and what would add to the price?
Do you hold a business license and liability insurance, and will you show me proof?
That last question is worth asking every vendor you hire, not only a coordinator. We hold a business license and $2 million in liability insurance, and many Augusta area venues now ask wedding vendors for proof of both. The question about how many coordinators will be at your wedding is a fair one for us as well. Our team is Nick and Jasmine, a male and a female coordinator working together, and we are glad to talk through how that works for your wedding.
Where does it belong in your budget?
Add the day of coordination cost when you set the rest of your budget, next to the photographer and the caterer. A line you add in the first month is easy to plan for. A line you try to squeeze in during the last month is not. It also helps to ask what you would otherwise spend the day doing. If you, a parent or a bridesmaid would spend the afternoon carrying boxes and answering the florist, that is the job you are paying to hand off.
If you are still building the rest of the plan, our post on what a day of wedding coordinator is and is not makes a good companion to this one.
Day of coordination cost: your questions answered
Is day of coordination the same as full wedding planning?
No. Full planning covers months of choosing and booking. Day of coordination covers the final stretch and the wedding day itself, and that is the service we offer. They are different jobs, so compare them by what they include and not by the number alone.
Does the price include my other vendors?
No. Your florist, photographer, caterer and music are their own businesses with their own agreements. We work with them, confirm their details and act as their point of contact on the day, but we are not paying or booking them for you.
Can I add an officiant?
Yes. Coordination can be combined with officiating through our sister business, Augusta Officiant, so the person leading your ceremony and the people running your timeline work from the same plan. Their Elopement Ceremony is $200, and their Custom Ceremony, written from scratch and including rehearsal attendance, is $400. The details are on the Augusta Officiant site.
When should I ask for a quote?
Any time you have a date and a venue. We can only size up a wedding once we know where it is and how many people are coming, and a short conversation answers most of it.
