If you typed day of coordinator Augusta GA into a search bar, you probably have a date, a venue and a growing list of jobs that nobody owns yet. We are Augusta Day of Coordination, and we take over the timeline, the vendors and the wedding day itself so that you and your families do not have to.

This page is the short introduction: who we are, what we do, where we work and what you need to know about marrying on either side of the Savannah River.

Who is behind Augusta Day of Coordination?

Our team is Nick and Jasmine, a male and a female coordinator working together. Couples get the best of both worlds. Between the two of them you have someone who gets people to the right place and helps direct the ceremony, someone who can lift the big, heavy things, and someone who can calm you down in a crisis. It sets the tone for the day. Our team includes the CSRA's only male wedding coordinator, and you can read more on our about page.

We are veteran owned and family run, and we are a foster family. We have coordinated weddings for the past four years, and Nick is also an officiant with Augusta Officiant. As officiants, our team has married more than 1,200 couples across the CSRA. We are bilingual, in English and Spanish, and we have 5 star reviews on Google, which you can read for yourself.

What does a day of coordinator in Augusta actually do?

Our work with you really starts two to four weeks before the wedding, not on the wedding morning. Here is what it covers:

  • Building the wedding day timeline with you

  • Confirming and following up with your vendors

  • Making sure everyone knows where to be and when

  • Running the rehearsal lineup and the ceremony cues

  • Running the wedding day, as the point of contact for your vendors, so you and your families do not have to

On the day we also handle the problems that come up, and yes, we carry and move things. If you want to see how a Saturday unfolds, our post on what a day of coordinator does walks through a sample day hour by hour.

Some couples searching for a day of coordinator Augusta GA are really looking for a full wedding planner, so here is the line. We do not choose your venue, design your decor or book your vendors for you. If you need something that is not on the list above, such as help with setup, ask us what your wedding needs.

Where do we work around Augusta?

Home base is the CSRA: Augusta, Evans, Grovetown, Martinez, Hephzibah, Harlem, Appling, North Augusta and Aiken, plus nearby Thomson and Waynesboro. Military couples from Fort Eisenhower, formerly Fort Gordon, are a big part of our work. For anywhere farther, ask us.

Does it matter which side of the river you marry on?

It does, because the marriage license rules are different. In Georgia there is no waiting period, no witnesses are required, and the license is usually issued the same day. Richmond County Probate Court is at 735 James Brown Blvd, Suite 1000, in Augusta, and our sister site has a guide to the Richmond County marriage license. In South Carolina, which covers North Augusta and Aiken, there is a 24 hour wait after you apply, and a South Carolina license can only be used in South Carolina. A Georgia license must be used in Georgia. Whichever applies to you, we build it into the timeline.

After the ceremony the officiant completes and signs the license and hands it to you. You return it to the probate court, within 30 days in Georgia.

Do we carry a business license and insurance?

Yes. We hold a business license and $2 million in liability insurance, and many Augusta area venues now ask wedding vendors for proof of both. Coordination can also be combined with officiating through our sister business, Augusta Officiant, so the person leading your ceremony and the people running your timeline work from the same plan.

What should you have ready when you contact us?

You do not need a finished plan. A few basics are enough for us to tell you what your wedding needs:

  • Your date and the ceremony start time, even if it is still a guess

  • Where the ceremony and the reception will be, and whether they are in the same place

  • Your rough guest count

  • Which vendors you have booked so far, and which are still open

  • Your plans for an officiant, and which state you are marrying in

  • Anything about your families or your guests that makes the day more complicated
